The Character Sheet

About Jeremy

Disciple. Husband. Father. Storyteller. Also: a guy who ran the numbers on the agency business and decided to replace his own with robots.

Chapter One · The Agency

I've spent twenty-five years telling other people's stories for money. I started NewFire Media, a marketing agency, and grew it to a $6M business with an incredible team before selling it. Along the way I did every job in the building: strategist, designer, copywriter, illustrator, and ad ops.

Selling the agency taught me the most valuable thing I know about marketing services: clients don't want an agency. They want results from two or three people inside the agency who actually move the needle. Everything I've built since is about delivering those results.

Chapter Two · The Machine

Today, Jeremy Mace Ltd. runs as an AI-powered marketing department for a handful of companies. A staff of AI agents handles research, production, pipelines, and reporting; I handle strategy, creative direction, and judgment. I manage vendors and internal resources. It's the leanest version of an agency and gives me a seat at the table where I help my clients make the decisions that move revenue.

Chapter Three · The Stories

In 2022 I wrote a graphic novel called Saving Mister Creep, hired two artists to draw it, crowdfunded the printing, and shipped it. That book taught me that marketing other people's stories had stopped being enough. I wanted to make my own. House of Mace is the imprint where that happens: a game called How To Play arrives this fall, and an epic-fantasy graphic novel called Giantslayer follows in 2027. I write and art-direct, and I work with artists to bring the finished pages to life.

Chapter Four · The Mission

I'm also the business half of DiscipleLink, discipleship software for churches, built with my friend John Beasley. He writes the code; I run the business. My faith picks a lot of my projects. You'll find it in the work rather than on the label.

Chapter Five · The Table

Home is Augusta, Georgia, where I help run JoeFest (our hometown comics convention) and the Augusta Design Society. If you're local, the first coffee is on me.
